Provide 100% customer service to all citizens of Wayne and surrounding areas.
Ensure all indexing and guidelines of the office are maintained daily, and documents are recorded and filed within the 72 hour deadline.
Establish new indexing standards according to the Administrative Code of the Office of the NC Secretary of State. In anticipation of these rule changes, providing several upgrades to the current indexing systems.
It is time to update the public retrieval units to accompany the planned new software, as has been done in some surrounding areas. Add dual monitors at the retrieval stations so that the general public will have the convenience of viewing the document on one screen, while referring back to the index on the other.
Protect the information stored in the system, find new ways to make the transactions more efficient, and upgrade methods of operations.
Network with other ROD’s offices, Wayne County Clerk of Courts, the Tax Department and IT to find ways of ensuring the best methods are met in these different entities for the County
Work with the County Commissioners, NC Secretary of State, Attorneys, Magistrates, and Funeral Directors, other citizens and visitors of Wayne, including public and local officials to ensure the best methods are in place to serve the community
Provide continuous up-dated services as technology advances, with small town professional friendliness
Promote and identified all the services available for our customers
Upgrade from current manual typewriters to modern day computer systems
Provide training and assistance for self- help customers visiting our office, as required and requested
Provide a more user-friendly website while encouraging greater customer usage
Enforcing that documents and citizens of the County are treated with respect and make the citizens welcome to research and obtain information in a professional and timely manner
Integrity and honesty are two primary focuses to maintain this in position
